The 4C Accelerator Returns to Jefferson County, Continuing to Help Entrepreneurs Build Stronger Businesses

Updated: Aug 10

Jefferson County entrepreneurs have another opportunity to strengthen and grow their businesses.

After a successful Fall 2025 cohort in the area, Vanguard Development Collective is bringing the 4C Accelerator back to Jefferson County, continuing its commitment to helping entrepreneurs build stronger businesses through practical education, personalized support, and measurable results.

Designed for growth-stage businesses across a variety of industries, including; health technology, water technology, defense technology, fintech, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, agriculture, bioscience, biotechnology, energy, and engineering. The 4C Accelerator equips entrepreneurs with the tools, strategies, and relationships needed to grow with confidence.

A Different Kind of Business Accelerator

Many business programs focus on ideas. The 4C Accelerator focuses on execution and long-term business growth. The program is built around four key pillars that are essential to building a resilient business:

  • Capital – Accessing funding opportunities and financial resources

  • Credit – Strengthening personal and business credit profiles

  • Contracts – Preparing businesses to compete for procurement and larger opportunities

  • Connections – Building meaningful relationships with mentors, partners, and industry leaders

Through a structured 10-week experience, participants receive hands-on business education, one-on-one coaching, practical workshops, and a dedicated credit-building track designed to help entrepreneurs become more competitive and financially prepared.

Proven Impact Across Previous Cohorts

The return of the 4C Accelerator to Jefferson County builds on the success of previous cohorts, where entrepreneurs achieved meaningful business outcomes...not just completed a program.

To date, participants have reported:

  • 100% of Cohort 2 participants say they are prepared to pursue procurement opportunities.

  • More than 53% of participants secured business funding or a line of credit.

  • More than 46% experienced at least a 10-point increase in their personal credit score by Week 6.

  • More than $255,000 in overall economic impact has been generated through the first two cohorts of the 4C Accelerator.

These outcomes demonstrate the program's emphasis on measurable growth through stronger financial readiness, increased access to capital, and expanded business opportunities.

One example is Tanisa Osorto, founder of iRose LLC, who secured two new contracts before completing the accelerator, demonstrating how preparation can translate directly into new revenue opportunities.
